(((ilhan))) 28 Mizrachi Jew, Rroma.
I'm a gay, depressed artist with more trauma than you can shake a stick at.
My little sister is Chinese. Don't ask how that's rude.
I'm generally as confused about life as you are.
I like video games, books and cats -shrug-

dottysdokis:

fuck elon musk but the privating of likes on twitter is a really interesting exposure of the absolute panopticon culture going on there

there are droves of people freaking out that they can’t check people’s likes before following them anymore (something i have never done or thought to do??) because “what if i accidentally follow a predator?” the pedopanic is ramped to the MAX. if you want to have privacy you must have something shady to hide.

with the general culture of “oomfs you follow this Unperson u have 24hrs to unfollow or you will be unpersoned as well” idk why i’m surprised it’s considered normal to pilfer through ppl’s liked posts to justify harassing them. the lack of choice on users’ part whether their likes are public or not (a feature tumblr has had for years) is shitty design but i can’t help but be intrigued by the panic of purity-obsessed weirdos as a feature that gave them an illusion of control is taken away

sorry guys, life isn’t that easy. shitty people will exist alongside the righteous and will often be indistinguishable. the idea that you can fully avoid them by stalking their shit is not a healthy thought process. make peace with privacy.

where all my queer and trans jews DREADING PRIDE MONTH WOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

avian-misdemeanors:

would love for goyim to stop trying to get diaspora Jews to disavow and condemn Israeli Jews. they are our cousins, our siblings, our family. they are welcome in my home and at my table. they are our people.

yes fuck Bibi and fuck Likud. most Israelis will agree with me on that.

but you will never get me to rebuke 7 million of my own people just because their government currently sucks. how dare you.

if you require a Jewish person to disavow nearly half of our global population before you’re willing to treat us like human beings, you’re a fucking anti-semite, plain and simple.

Tonight in Tel Aviv: protest calling for a hostage deal and against invasion of Rafah. source

If you’re willing to overlook the blatant and virulent antisemitism riddling the student protests in the US “for the cause”, and you’re not supporting the protests in Israel that might actually make a difference, fuck you. You’ve shown your true colors.

When your signs call for burning Tel Aviv to the ground this is whose death and suffering you’re calling for.

jewishgay4il:

are the goyim aware that zionism≠anti palestinians?

and that like. there is literally no mention or comment about what the palestinians deserve or dont or anything in (mainstream) zionist thought? because unlike yall we focus on what we need not what we can deny to others

and like. you can be both propalestinians and a zionist and literally there is no contradiction?

no? just us jews? ok

dchan87:

It’s actually very easy to criticise the Israeli government without being antisemitic. I’ll do it right now:

Fuck netanyahu, fuck likud, fuck bibi’s cabinet, fuck ben gvir. And, holy fuck, this war has been executed so fucking badly, it should be a case study on how badly things can go. Bibi and his cronies should be in jail right now. No, really, bibi has corruption charges hanging over his head and he should be in jail, not power.

See? It’s easy. Use precise, targeted language.

It’s really easy to not spout shit like this

And really fucking obvious what you mean when you do

If the left is curious why it’s lost the support of so many Jews, this is why. Even Jews who have their problems with the war will stay far, far away from movements that very obviously long to kill and dehumanize them. Engaging in extremism, radicalization, and hate is not going to win hearts and minds.

I think it bears emphasizing that it’s not just about the individuals who say things like in that screenshot. It’s also about the way the rest of the movement doesn’t do anything about it. At best, and only if confronted about it, they will say, “Oh, this person is not with us — no true leftist blah blah blah.” And then proceed to do nothing to actually exclude people like that from the movement, much less try to untangle the reason why people like that felt at home in your movement in the first place.

When we say “our Jewish/Israeli brothers and sisters” we do not mean it as an emotional rhetorical tool. We mean it genuinely.

The entire Jewish community is connected. First there’s the fact that nearly every single one of us either knows someone, or knows someone who knows someone, who was killed on Oct 7th. But besides that, there’s the fact that the entire Jewish community is like a giant family. We all are connected and care about each other, even if we don’t know each other. A Jew in pain hurts every Jew.

When we say “Jewish/Israeli brothers and sisters” we say it because we genuinely feel for them as if they were a part of our family.

Even though I’ve never met a single one of the hostages before, I miss them. I miss the lives taken from us on Oct 7th, and I miss every life taken since then.

And I know I’m not the only one who feels this way.

So to my fellow Jews, this feeling is valid and rational. To non-Jews, please understand how much we really care about the hostages and victims of Oct 7th.

This is why I am upset when people claim we’re faking caring about the hostages. Imagine if your cousin or aunt or grandparent was taken. That’s how a lot of us are feeling right now, and goyim can’t even begin to understand how much it pains us.

So yeah, we don’t mean it as rhetoric. We just genuinely care about each other.

“I can’t believe Jews are genociding the Palestinians! I was so sad when I realized they didn’t learn their lessons about genocide and oppression from the Holocaust–”

Excuse me? Lessons? Tell me, what lessons were we meant to derive from the death camps and human experimentation? I wasn’t aware the Holocaust and was meant to be an educational seminar

The only lesson we learned is that the non-Jews of the world will sit back and do nothing when we’re being murdered.

Being Jewish is just like: yeah they hate us again, yeah they spread misinformation on us again, yeah this has been happening for generations, yeah we’re not surprised anymore, yeah we’re gonna survive this, yeah it’s gonna happen again.
